 The
SOSI 12 kHz Towfish has been specifically designed for low frequency
swath bathymetric seafloor mapping systems. This neutrally buoyant tow
body is rated for tow depths down to 1,000 meters, and it is designed to
carry side scan sonar electronics in two one atmosphere pressure
housings. The housing bays are located on either side in the top half of
the towfish and are provided with removable panels for easy access to
the housings. Similarly, the towfish has provisions on each side and in
the bottom to carry side looking and sub-bottom array payloads. The
towfish is easy to deploy when used in conjunction with the SOSI Model
LRS 162-1000-001 Launch and Recovery System. The towfish's quality
fiberglass monocoque construction and epoxy finish provide long life
even in the harshest marine environments. Its simple, low maintenance,
proven design assures stable towfish operations that you can depend
upon.
