 SOSI
manufactures a large variety of Cylindrical Instrument Housings rated
for depths ranging to 6000 meters and beyond. They can be constructed of
aluminum, stainless steel or titanium and are available in a variety of
standard and custom diameters and lengths. Most housings are custom
designed and tested to meet specific customer requirements.
SOSI cylindrical
housings are typically provided with flat plate style endcaps with both
O-ring face and bore seals*. An example of an endcap
closure design is here. Hemispherical endcaps are also
available in some sizes and materials.
 Custom
porting and machining for electrical connectors and vents are typically
provided. The housings can be supplied with several types of closures
for securing the endcaps to the housing including fasteners, V-clamps,
bolt rings, tie rods, and threaded retaining rings*. They can be
supplied natural or with a variety of surface finishes such as hard coat
anodizing and epoxy paint or powder coat. Their rugged designs and high
quality provide long life even in the harshest marine environments.
