Linear Cable Engine

The SOSI Model LCTM-5000 Linear Cable Traction Machines are designed for cable deployment and recovery operations—specifically when cables of various or changing diameters are being used. LCTMs are also used when repeaters or other discontinuities exist in the cable.

SOSI's LCTMs are built to withstand terrestrial or shipboard use and are easy to install on a variety of carriers or vessels of opportunity. They are built of quality steel, use proven components and are crafted from tested designs. They come with epoxy finishes that provide long life even in harsh marine environments. Systems are typically provided with a separate electro-hydraulic power unit sized to meet line speed and line pull requirements. LCTMs can be designed with an inclusive HPU in the base frame and are available in either vertical or horizontal configurations.
