Cylindrical Instrument Housings

SOSI manufactures a large variety of cylindrical instrument housings rated for depths ranging 6000 meters and deeper. Constructed of aluminum, stainless steel or titanium—our housings are available in a variety of standard diameters and lengths. Instrument housings are also customizable to meet the specific needs of our customers.

Cylindrical housings are typically constructed with flat-plate-style end caps with both O-ring face and bore seals. Hemispherical end caps are also available in some sizes and materials. Custom porting and machining for electrical connectors and vents are typically provided. The housings can be supplied with several types of closures for securing the end caps to the housing including: fasteners, V-clamps, bolt rings, tie rods and threaded retaining rings.

Housings are supplied with a natural finish or with a variety of surface finishes like hard-coat anodizing, epoxy paint or powder coat. Their rugged construction and proven closure / seal designs ensure reliable leak-proof operation that you can depend on.
