Model UVR-6000

The SOSI Model UVR-6000 Underwater Video Recorder is a submersible video recorder that provides up to four and half hours of underwater video. The system is completely programmable, with the ability to set initial delay times and combinations of recording / interval times ranging from seconds to days with the integral time-lapse controller. The Hi-8 mm format recording unit and time-lapse controller are contained within a one atmosphere, anodized aluminum, and instrument housing—allowing the system to operate in water depths up to 6000 meters. In addition to controlling the recorder functions, the controller is used to command remote underwater camera and lights.

The system comes standard with electrical interface connectors for use with the remote video cameras, lights and submersible battery pack. This assembly can be provided in a dual recorder mode that increases the maximum recording time to eight hours. Similarly, the system can be provided with additional battery packs for extended operations. An optional interface for photographic camera and strobe control is available for the unit along with a tripod-style rigid deployment frame designed to contain the recorder as well as optional cameras, lights and battery packs.
