 The
SOSI Model ODP-276-100-001 Oceanographic Data Platform (ODP) is a
multi-sensor seafloor device designed to provide long-term sea water
temperature and conductivity measurements as well as current profiles of
the overlaying water column and directional wave spectra. The SOSI
design incorporates a removable instrument plate used to secure the
sensors and external battery packs onto a concrete anchor base. This
unique design allows the instrument plate to be removed while leaving
the anchor base on the seafloor. This in turn allows long-term, multiple
year deployments in exactly the same location year after year. These
stable and secure seafloor platforms are supplied complete with anchor
base, removable instrument plate, sensors with data loggers, external
battery pack and all other required components.
Sensors
SeaBird SBE 37SM MicroCAT: This instrument is a highly accurate
conductivity and temperature recorder with an internal battery and
non-volatile memory. It has a temperature measurement range of –5°C to
+35°C, a resolution of 0.0001°C, and an accuracy of .002°C. The
conductivity cell has a range of 0 to 70 mS/cm, a 0.0001 mS/cm
resolution, and an accuracy of .003 mS/cm.
SonTek/YSI 1.0 MHz ADP: This instrument is a high-performance water
current profiler that is accurate, reliable, and easy to use. It has a
maximum current profiling range of 25- 40 meters. It is equipped with a
512-Mb recorder, internal compass, 2-axis tilt sensor and a 50-meter
strain gauge pressure sensor (0.1% accuracy) contained in an aluminum
hard-anodized and powder coated underwater housing. an external
mechanical gimbal Level indicator & +/- 30 degree mechanical gimbal.
