Founded by the USSR Ministry of Geology, SEVMORGEO is under the authority of the Federal Agency for Resources Management in Russia. SOSI territory for SEVMORGEO includes North, South, and Central America plus Japan.

SEVMORGEO of Saint Petersburg Russia specializes in remote sensing services and equipment for geophysical exploration. The staff of SEVMORGEO numbers over 200 professionals with 34 holding higher academic degrees and certifications. Products include Deep Sea and Continental Shelf Drills, Grab Samplers, Dredges, Corers, and Cone Penetrometers. Acoustic and video systems support bottom classification work and aid in sample selection. Services include geophysical surveys, aerial surveys, seismic surveys, land surveys, and ground water surveys. Data gathering, processing, and dissemination provides turn-key solutions to survey requirements world wide. SEVMORGEO is a member of many international geophysical organizations and unions including EAGO, EAEG, and SEG.
