Sound Ocean Systems, Inc. has designed and manufactured custom and standard marine systems and equipment since 1978. SOSi can provide "off the shelf" products or create custom solutions suited to your specific needs. Our current and legacy product line include: deck equipment, winches, linear cable traction machines, launch and recovery systems, mobile vans and enclosures, in water systems, towed bodies, instrument housings, seafloor systems, salvage systems, ocean observation systems, data buoys, underwater GPS and telemetry systems.

SOSI products are used in a variety of marine fields such as oceanographic, water sampling, meteorological data gathering, seafloor mapping, survey, underwater cable burial, trenching, ocean mining, military and port security. Used under the most severe conditions, our systems have performed at depths up to 5000 meters. SOSI handling systems routinely perform in Sea State 5.

SOSI products are designed for ships of opportunity with an emphasis on ease of transportation and installation. When applicable, products are built with ISO corner castings for use with standard ISO equipment. Steel construction (aluminum on smaller winches) and epoxy finishes guarantee reliable operation and durability in the harshest marine conditions. These unique, proven systems, can improve safety and liability concerns, decrease cost by reducing required crew sizes and limit the weather's effect on your schedule.
