Submersible GPS Receiver

Model GPSR-X015G

SOSI, GPS Receiver, Model GPSR-X015G

SOSI Submersible GPS Receivers are designed for use with deep diving AUVs, or other autonomous systems that are required to operate at depth—but periodically surface to determine position and reset their navigation system. These receivers acquire GPS satellite data only while on the surface, but survive routine submergence to depth. The GPSR-X015G is available in depth ratings of 3000 or 6000 meters.

NOTICE Production of SOSI’s GPSR-X015G submersible GPS Receivers (3000 or 6000 meters depth) is suspended, pending release of a totally redesigned product in July 2012. The new device will be smaller, rated for 6000 meters, and offer improved GPS performance and features including 9600 baud serial interface and PPS out for applications requiring precise timing. Please contact SOSI for more information.
