 The
SOSI Model RTM-243-10T Roller Tension Meter is a shipboard device
designed to simultaneously measure and display cable tension as well as
total cable scope deployed. It
has a maximum line tension capacity of ten tons.
The device has three separate roller assemblies that are
independently adjustable in height to provide flexibility for alignment
with adjacent equipment such as stern chutes and cable traction
machines. Guide rollers within each frame are arranged in arcs along the
cable path with a radius of sixty inches. Cable guide pans designed to
support slack cable and hinged access doors allow easy installation and
removal of the cable. The system is ruggedly designed and easy to
install on a dedicated vessel or platform of opportunity.
The quality stainless steel and steel construction and epoxy
finish provide long life even in the harshest marine environments.
Each Roller
Tension Meter is supplied with a remote cable data display unit. This
stainless steel NEMA 4X enclosure contains the digital cable tension and
cable payout meters. The display box is equipped with a serial port so
that cable tension and payout data can be transmitted to a remote
display or recording unit.
