The
SOSI Model UVR-6000 UNDERWATER VIDEO RECORDER is a video recording
device designed to provide up to four and one half hours of video
recording at programmable intervals. The integral time lapse controller
offers infinite combinations of recording and interval time from
seconds to days. It is completely programmable including the ability to
set initial delay times. The Hi-8 mm format recording unit and the
controller are contained within a one atmosphere, anodized aluminum,
instrument housing. In addition to controlling the recorder functions,
the controller is also used to control remote video camera and lights.
The system is rated for operation in water depths to 6000 meters.
The system is provided with
electrical interface connectors for use with the remote video cameras,
lights, and submersible battery pack. This assembly can also be provided
in a dual recorder mode which increases the maximum recording time to
eight hours. Similarly, the system can be provided with additional
battery packs for extended operations. The system can be provided with
an optional interface for photographic camera and strobe control. A
tripod style rigid deployment frame designed to contain the recorder as
well as optional cameras, lights and battery packs, etc. can also be
provided.
